UWS Bandit Takes Joyride After Stealing 95-Year-Old Man's Wheelchair
Police are looking for a person who zoomed down West End Avenue in a red electric wheelchair that didn't belong to them.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — There is a wheelchair bandit on the Upper West Side.
Around 8 a.m. on Tuesday, a 95-year-old man left his wheelchair outside of an office building at 277 West End Ave. (73rd Street), and returned at 10 a.m. to find that his red Pride electric wheelchair was gone, police said.
The investigation found that someone sat down in the wheelchair around 8:10 a.m., and zoomed off down West End, police said.

NYPD released a video Thursday night of the suspect making their four-wheeled getaway.
NYPD said the value of the wheelchair is $2,570.
