A suspect remains at large after an armed robbery on the Upper West Side early Monday morning.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY – A male victim at the 94 Star Deli was robbed at gunpoint on Monday morning, an NYPD spokesperson confirmed.

At approximately 5:42 a.m., a man walked into the deli – at 714 Amsterdam Avenue between between West 94th and 95th streets – displayed a firearm and demanded money, according to police.

A 27-year-old male victim, who was in the deli at the time, handed over his backpack, police said. The robber then fled southbound on Amsterdam Avenue toward 94th Street, according to authorities.

No arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing.

UPDATE: It's not known what the victim's relationship to 94 Star Deli is, police said, following an earlier report that the victim appeared to have been a worker.
