UPPER WEST SIDE, NY – A body was discovered floating in the Hudson River near West 79th Street and Riverside Drive on Monday morning, police confirmed.

Police responded to a 911 call at approximately 7:20 a.m., and found the unidentified man in the water, officials told Patch.

The man was likely in his 30s or 40s, authorities said, and was unconscious and unresponsive when emergency responders arrived.

Medical personnel pronounced the man dead at the scene, police said. The medical examiner will determine his cause of death.

No arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing.

The location is near the West 79th Street Boat Basin Marina, which is currently closed.
