Box Cutter Slasher Sought In Attack Near 72nd St. Station: NYPD
The NYPD released new photos of a suspect wanted in connection with the transit attack last week.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY - The New York Police Department is looking for a man who slashed a straphanger in the face while riding a northbound train on the Upper West Side last week.
The slash took place about 1:20 a.m. Tuesday on an A train near the 72nd Street and Central Park West station when an unknown man approached the 22-year-old male victim and started a verbal argument, police said.
The victim was then slashed in the forehead by the assailant, police said. Medics treated the victim for minor injuries at the nearby station.

The suspect, described as wearing a black bucket hat, purple sweatshirt, gray pants and purple socks, fled at the 72nd Street station.
