Boy, 8, Hit By Car In Upper West Side Crash: NYPD
An 8-year-old boy suffered minor injuries after a driver struck him with a car as he walked with his mother Thursday morning, police said.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — An 8-year-old boy was hit by a car as he walked with his mother on an Upper West Side street Thursday morning, according to police.
The mother and son were crossing Broadway at West 70th Street when the driver of a Nissan was making a left-hand turn onto Broadway, officials said.
Seconds later, the driver struck the 8-year-old boy, according to police.

Officials said the mother was not hit by the driver's Nissan, police said.
First responders rushed the boy, who suffered minor injuries, to Mount Sinai West, FDNY officials told Patch.

An NYPD spokesperson said that officers issued the driver, a 50-year-old woman, a summons but made no arrests.
