CENTRAL PARK, NY — After what feels like an eternity of talking about the star-studded event, the Central Park mega-concert is set for 5 p.m. on Saturday.

Mayor Bill de Blasio teamed up with legendary music producer Clive Davis to organize the concert, which will celebrate New York City's reopening from the coronavirus pandemic.

The star-studded lineup will include Paul Simon, Jennifer Hudson, Bruce Springsteen, The Killers, Carlos Santana, the New York Philharmonic, Elvis Costello, and many other major names.

"I've never heard of a concert with that kind of lineup," de Blasio said after it was announced for the first time earlier this summer.

The mega concert will take place on the Great Lawn, which is between 79th and 85th Streets within the park.
