UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — The fraternity brothers of Delta Sigma Phi were recently booted out of their longtime Columbia-owned brownstone at 531 West 113th Street for an unspecified offense.
The Columbia Spectator and ILoveTheUpperWestSide were the first publications to report on the ousted frat bros.
While the exact reason for the fraternity losing the piece of Upper West Side real estate is unspecified, the school's newspaper says that "allegations of hazing" have surfaced in the past few months.

"Allegations of hazing and harassment by members have also come to light in recent months, and the chapter has been suspended by the Delta Sigma Phi National Fraternity until December 31, 2022, purportedly for the same reasons that the fraternity lost its Columbia brownstone," the Columbia Spectator reported.
Delta Sigma Phi will have the chance to go back to the brownstone in 2023 along with the opportunity to be a nationally recognized chapter at Columbia University on a probationary basis.
