In 2019, he wrote and published a memoir about his experience of being a young, Black chef working in upscale restaurants.
The new David Geffen Hall restaurant, which is part of a multi-year overhaul of the famous building, will focus on Afro-Carribbean flavors, reported the New York Times.
Lincoln Center announced in March that the building would reopen this fall, two years ahead of schedule and on budget.
"Bodega-style chopped cheese buns made with beef, Taleggio cheese and truffles, Egusi soup dumplings and braised oxtails are some of the dishes he’s considering," wrote the New York Times about the new restaurant.
The Times added that the restaurant will open a little after David Geffen Hall officially reopens.
