Person Injured In Upper West Side Apartment Fire: FDNY
An all-hands fire ignited around 9:50 a.m. in a building near Columbus and West 101st Street, FDNY confirmed.
UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — An all-hands fire broke out within an Upper West Side apartment on Tuesday morning that left one person hospitalized, FDNY confirmed.
The blaze ignited around 9:39 a.m. on the third floor of a residential building at 825 Columbus Ave. (near West 101st Street), FDNY said.
An FDNY spokesperson told Patch that firefighters found heavy clutter conditions within the apartment, but did not specify if that's what caused the fire.

The fire was put under control by 10:25 a.m., FDNY said. One person was brought to Mount Sinai Hospital in unknown condition, FDNY added.
The building is part of the Frederick Douglas NYCHA Complex that stretches from around 100th to 103rd Street between Amsterdam and Columbus.
