Firefighter Injured In UWS Brownstone Fire, FDNY Says
The blaze broke out overnight at a brownstone undergoing renovation on West 95th Street, fire officials said.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY - A firefighter was injured early Thursday morning after battling a fire inside a vacant Upper West Side brownstone, authorities said.
The three-alarm blaze at 128 West 95th St. near Columbus Avenue was first reported about 1:32 a.m., fire officials said.
The fire, which is believed to have originated on the third floor, extended upwards into the empty home, fire officials said. The brownstone was under renovation at the time.

33 units with 138 firefighters responded to the four-story prewar building, fire officials said. The injured firefighter reported “minor” injuries.
The blaze was deemed under control just after 4 a.m., fire officials said. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The building was last sold in October 2023 to an LLC for $4.15 million, according to city records.
