First Surgery-Exclusive Hospital For Animals Opens On Upper West Side
The Hospital for Veterinary Surgery opened Monday on the Upper West Side. Here's what to know.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — The first surgery-exclusive veterinary hospital in New York City has opened on the Upper West Side.
The Hospital for Veterinary Surgery welcomed its first customers on Monday at 150 Amsterdam Ave., near West 66th Street.
“We are thrilled to provide gold standard medicine to our pet patients at our modern and innovative surgical hospital,” said Dr. Matthew Raske in a news release. "Our surgical team and clinical staff are familiar faces here in the local veterinary community, and the reception from our colleagues has been very positive and enthusiastic."

The Hospital for Veterinary Surgery features a 10,000 square-foot space with four state-of-the-art operating suits, two radiology imaging suits, a 128-slice CT scan, and and overnight veterinarian on-site.
The hospital's vet team specializes in orthopedic, oncologic, and minimally invasive surgeries.

The Hospital for Veterinary Surgery is currently accepting consultation appointments and plans to begin performing surgical procedures in September.
