Food Review Website Names 14 Best Restaurants On UWS: Do You Agree?

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A food website recently published a list of the 14 best restaurants on the Upper West Side.

Different versions of the neighborhood's best eateries come out a few times a year, and each time there are varying levels of argument from locals over which restaurants got left out.

Female Foodie, a website that rates restaurants across the country, put together a best of the UWS list recently that includes Mermaid Inn, Maison Pickle, and other well known popular spots.

"The Upper West Side boasts beautiful brownstones, celebrity sightings, and (most importantly) fantastic food," the author of the list wrote. "It might not have the same electrifying nightlife as the city, but it’s the place you want to go home to at the end of the evening."

The list features a strong collection of Upper West Side staples (Barney Greengrass and Absolute Bagels), and relative newcomers to the neighborhood (Chama Mama and Mama's TOO).
