Free Children's Book Fair Set For The Upper West Side This Weekend
Council Member Gale Brewer is hosting a book fair on Sunday at the JCC on Amsterdam between West 75th and 76th streets.
UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A free children's book fair is taking place this weekend on the Upper West Side.
UWS Council Member Gale Brewer is hosting the book fair starting at 1 p.m. on Sunday at the Marlene Meyerson JCC at 334 Amsterdam (Corner of 76th Street).
Families and schools have donated over 1,000 new and gently-used books to be handed out at the fair.

Volunteers working the fair will also be making packages of books to be given to students part of the JCC's tutoring program, shelters, nonprofits and asylum-seeking families.
Brewer's office also did outreach to Upper West Side NYCHA complexes to encourage residents to come out on Sunday.

The local elected official will host the book fair alongside Literacy Programs at the JCC, which is a program started 25 years ago at the community center where kids get tutoring in a variety of subjects.
All are welcomed at the fair.
