'Give Me Your Money': Man Attacked, Robbed On Bike Path, Police Say

A 27-year-old man was injured in a violent robbery on a bike path on Manhattan's West Side on Tuesday night, officials said.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY – A 27-year-old man was assaulted and robbed on a bike path near the southern end of Riverside Park South on Tuesday night, an NYPD spokesperson confirmed.

The victim was cruising southbound on a Citi Bike at about 11 p.m. near West 59th Street and 12th Avenue when he approached three unidentified individuals, police said.

One of the individuals kicked the victim’s bike, according to police, causing the victim to fall off the bike. The fall resulted in a laceration to the victim's hand.

“Give me your money,” one of the individuals demanded.

“I don’t have my wallet,” the victim replied, according to officials.

The three bandits then took the victim’s Citi Bike and fled southbound, according to police.

All three were described as about 5’7, authorities said.

No arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing.
