Gunman Hits Upper West Side Hotel In Daylight Robbery: Police

The La Quinta Inn at West 71st Street between Columbus and Central Park West was robbed Wednesday morning by a man wielding a gun, PD said.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A gunman robbed an Upper West Side hotel on Wednesday morning, a police spokesperson told Patch.

The armed-robber strode into the La Quinta Inn on West 71st Street between Columbus and Central Park West about 10:45 a.m., police said.

He approached the front desk and passed a note demanding money, while also showing off that he had a gun, police said.

The employee passed the robber $100, and he quickly fled the Upper West Side hotel, police said.

He was last seen wearing a navy hoodie, dark pants, and a blue surgical mask, police said.
