Jacob’s Pickles Opening New Upper West Side Location: Report
The new space is nearly double the size of the Amsterdam Avenue spot.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — The wait is finally over for fans of Jacob’s Pickles.
The beloved Upper West Side restaurant and bar will open the doors to its new Columbus Avenue home on Wednesday afternoon, according to a report from the West Side Rag.
The popular spot for Southern comfort food, beer, and (of course) pickles will begin welcoming diners at 680 Columbus Ave. starting at 3 p.m., the West Side Rag reported.

Jacob’s Pickles first announced its move from its longtime location on Amsterdam Avenue in May 2024 during a Community Board 7 meeting, the West Side Rag reported.
The new space, nearly double the size of the Amsterdam Avenue spot, most recently housed Agave and, before that, the much-loved Mexican restaurant Gabriella’s, the West Side Rag reported.

Meanwhile, the former Amsterdam Avenue space is also getting a new chapter: it will soon reopen as Velvet Cowboy, a bar from the same owner, Jacob Hadjigeorgis, the West Side Rag reported.
