Central Park Jogger, Hit By Bike, Is In Critical Condition, Police Say

The woman was struck by the bike just before 8 a.m. Wednesday morning near 66th Street and West Drive within the park, police told Patch.

CENTRAL PARK, NY — A jogger is in critical condition after she was hit by a bike in Central Park Wednesday morning, a police spokesperson told Patch.

The woman was struck near 66th Street and West Drive shortly before 8 a.m., police said.

The collision occurred near Tavern On The Green and not far from the Strawberry Fields Memorial.

Medics rushed the woman to an area hospital where she remained in critical condition as of late Wednesday morning, police said.

The biker stayed at the scene, and police are investigating what happened.
