Lincoln Center Announces 2019 'Great Performers' Lineup
The concert series will feature world-renowned classical musicians in its 54th year.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — Lincoln Center announced the lineup for one of its longest-running annual concert series that's sure to please fans of classical music. The "Great Performers" series, which will enter its 54th consecutive year, will feature some world-renowned classical musicians and ensembles, according to Lincoln Center executives.
This year's "Great Performers" series will see both long-renowned and up-and-coming vocalists, instrumentalists, soloists and orchestras perform at a number of venues on the Lincoln Center campus, executivs at the performing arts center said in a statement.
"Great Performers offers a diverse range of classical music programs, from the vast landscape of a Mahler symphony to the intimacy of the late Beethoven piano sonatas," Jane Moss, Lincoln Center's Ehrenkranz Artistic Director said in a statement.

"It is certain to be a season of memorable and meaningful musical experiences for all of us."
Some highlights from the 2019/2020 "Great Performers" series include performances from Christine Goerke, back-to-back concerts by Gustavo Dudamel, Simon Rattle conducting the London Symphony Orchestra and The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra. A number of this year's performers have curated their sets to "delve deeply into the hearts and minds" of some of classical music's greatest composers, according to a Lincoln Center press release.

Performances have been grouped into seven different categories: Symphonic masters, chamber orchestras, art of the song, virtuoso recitals and chamber music, Sunday morning coffee concerts, music on film and complimentary classical, according to Lincoln Center.
