UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — An Upper West Side family had its soft opening this week for its Asian-fusion treat shop in the neighborhood that serves up boba tea, mochi doughnuts, and Korean hot dogs.

Mochi Dolci, which are the words for "sweets" in Japanese and Italian, opened at 222 West 79th St., between Broadway and Amsterdam.

The shop is run by a husband and wife duo who hail from Italy and Thailand, respectively.

Treats that will be available at the store include mochi doughnuts, which is a fusion between a traditional American doughnut with the chewiness of Japanese mochi.

The shop will also have bingsu, a Korean shaved ice dessert with sweet toppings such as chopped fruit or syrup.

Mochi Dolchi is replacing the Greek restaurant Kefi, and joining a block with a variety of businesses on it.

The Upper West Side street is also home to the popular chicken wing spot Blondie's and coffee places Irving Farm and Blank Street.
