UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — Tis' the season, and a major holiday tree lighting and light show will take place next week on the Upper West Side.

"Lights Up on Lincoln Square" will return 5 p.m. on Monday with the lighting of a Fraser Fir at Dante Park across from Lincoln Center at Broadway and West 64th Street.

The 20-foot tree will feature hand-painted ornaments from an Upper West Side pottery studio, along with thousands of LED lights.

The event is free and open to the public.

The main tree won't be the only thing lit up on the night, as the Lincoln Square Business Improvement District will also illuminate 20 trees in the Broadway Malls from Columbus Circle up to 70th Street.

These lights will stay up through January.

The additional lights are headlined by "Tumbling Brights," which is a sequence of 15 lighted spirit figures illuminating the Broadway Malls.

“Lights Up on Lincoln Square is taking a page from small town celebrations by offering visitors a chance to experience all that Lincoln Square - the cultural and entertainment heart of the City - has to offer: great music, great food, and great shopping in a vibrant residential neighborhood and a chance to be part of the celebration,” wrote Monica Blum, President of the Lincoln Square Business Improvement District, in a news release.
