Major UWS Street Closure Looming For Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Filming
Upper West Siders parked in the eight-block stretch will have to move their cars. Here's what to know.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — An eight-block stretch of the Upper West Side will be closed Sunday so the popular show The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel can film in the neighborhood.
Posted signs went up in the neighborhood this weekend saying there will be a closure on Central Park West from West 73rd Street to West 81st Street beginning Sunday at 7 p.m. and lasting until 3 a.m.
Importantly, all people parked in the area have to move their vehicles by Sunday at 6 a.m.

In advance of shooting, parking will also be held in the neighborhood for production vehicles at the following places. The signage does not specify exactly when these parking spots will become off limit.
- Broadway (east side) between 82nd and 78th streets
- West 79th Street (north side) between Broadway and Amsterdam Ave
- West 81st Street (south side) between Columbus and Central Park West
- Central Park West (half the block on both sides) between 81st Street and West 77th Street
- Central Park West (west side) between West 77th Street and West 73rd Street
- West 76th Street (half a block on both sides) between Columbus Avenue and Central Park West
Traffic will be detoured the night of shooting during the extended closure.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is famously based on the Upper West Side, and has used locations throughout the neighborhood to film. Those locations include the Strathmore, a building on 113th Street and Riverside Drive where Midge Maisel's parents live.
