Man In Critical Condition After Bike Crash On Upper West Side: Police
The crash happened Thursday morning after one of the bikers was traveling the wrong way down an UWS bike lane, police said.
UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A man is in critical condition after colliding with a biker traveling the wrong way down a bike lane on the Upper West Side, police said.
Around 12:45 a.m. on Thursday, police responded to a 911 call for a bicycle collision at Amsterdam Avenue and West 105th Street and found a man in his thirties lying on the street unconscious and unresponsive with head trauma, NYPD said.
He was taken to Mount Sinai West in critical condition.

Further investigation found that a 43-year-old man was riding a bicycle southbound on Amsterdam Avenue in the northbound lane, when he collided head-on with the man in his thirties riding an e-bike in the correct direction, police said.
The 43-year-old man remained at the scene and refused any sort of medical treatment, police said

There are no arrests at this time and the investigation remains ongoing.
