Man Dead In Upper West Side Stabbing: Police
A man died at the hospital following a stabbing on the Upper West Side on Friday, officials said.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY – A 46-year-old man, Alfred Soto, was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital after emergency responders found him with serious stab wounds inside an Upper West Side apartment building on Friday morning.
Police received a 911 call reporting an assault in progress at 65 West 96th Street at about 10:20 a.m. on Friday.
When they arrived, officers found Soto inside the building with stab wounds to his stomach and chest, a police spokesperson told Patch.

Emergency responders rushed Soto to the hospital in critical condition, but they were unable to save him and he was pronounced deceased.
The address police provided corresponds to the Tower West apartments at West 96th Street and Columbus Avenue.

No information about what led to the incident is currently available but cops are looking for 4 to 5 suspects. No arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing.
