Man Followed, Groped On Upper West Side, Police Say

Police are searching for a suspect who followed a man into his building, and grabbed him in broad daylight.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — Police were looking Thursday for a suspect who groped a man on the Upper West Side, New York City Police Department officials said.

According to the NYPD, the 33-year-old victim was walking home near West 93rd Street and West End Avenue when a man approached him back on Aug. 25 at 11:10 a.m.

Police said that the suspect started talking to the victim and then followed him into his building. Inside the building, the suspect grabbed the victim's groin area over his clothing.

Then, the suspect ran away, police said.

Police are investigating the incident, and no arrests have been made yet. Police have released a surveillance photo of the suspect, who was last seen wearing a gray T-shirt, black shorts and black slippers.
