Man Hit, Killed By Train On Upper West Side, Police Say
A man fell onto the tracks at the West 72nd Street and Central Park West station as a train approached, police said.
UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A man was killed Tuesday night on the Upper West Side after being hit by a train, an NYPD spokesman said.
The man, who is in his 40s but has not been identified, fell onto the southbound track of the West 72nd Street and Central Park West station as a train approached the station around 11 p.m., police said. EMS pronounced the man dead at the scene, police said.
Police are still investigating the death but do not suspect any criminal activity is involved, an NYPD spokesman said.

Train service on the A and C lines was disrupted Tuesday night as emergency personnel operated at the West 72nd Street station, MTA officials said.
