Man Robbed At Gunpoint On The Upper West Side, Police Say

The NYPD sent out a photo Tuesday night of a man wanted in connection with a gunpoint robbery on the Upper West Side.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A robber with a gun walked into a building on the Upper West Side and demanded a man's bag and wallet, police said on Tuesday.

The armed man entered a building near West 83rd Street and Columbus Avenue around 8:18 p.m. on May 5, drew a gun, and ordered the 55-year-old man to fork over his belongings, police said.

The robber ended up grabbing two of the man's iPads and a credit card, before fleeing west on Columbus Avenue.

It is unclear if this exchange happened within a home, a lobby or a commercial building.

The NYPD released a photo Tuesday night of the man wanted in connection with the UWS robbery.
