Man Shot On Upper West Side, Police Say

The shooter fled on a Citi Bike and has not been arrested yet, police said.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A man was shot in the knee on the Upper West Side on Tuesday night, New York City Police Department officials said.

According to the NYPD, the victim, 26, was shot outside of the Amsterdam Houses located at 249 West 63rd St., near West End Avenue, at around 6:15 p.m.

The victim was grazed by the bullet on the right knee and rushed to Mount Sinai Morningside in stable condition, police said.

Police said they do not yet know what led up to the gunfire, and that no suspects have been arrested yet. Police said the shooter fled the scene on a Citi Bike.

The incident is still under investigation, police said.
