Man Slashed In Face After Subway Station Dispute: Police
A man was slashed in the face after an argument at the 72nd Street 1/2/3 station on the Upper West Side on Friday afternoon, police said.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY – A 26-year-old man was slashed in the face after a verbal dispute with another man at the 72nd Street 1/2/3 subway station at about 3:15 p.m. on Friday, police said.
The victim, who was slashed with a sharp instrument, sustained a laceration in the face and is in stable condition, according to a police spokesperson. It’s unclear whether or not the victim was transported to a hospital.
The assailant fled to parts unknown, police said.

The incident occurred on the northbound platform, police confirmed, and the assailant is described as a male wearing a grey shirt and blue jeans.
Authorities were unable to confirm whether or not the slasher was known to the victim.

There have been no arrests and the incident remains under investigation, police said.
The 1/2/3 station at 72nd Street and Broadway is a major express stop on the Upper West Side.
