Man Randomly Slashed In Face On Upper West Side Train: Police
A man was riding the 2 train approaching the 72nd Street station, when a person walked up to him and slashed him, police said.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A person was randomly slashed in the face Tuesday with a razor while riding a train on the Upper West Side, police said.
A 49-year-old man was riding a northbound 2 train approaching the 72nd Street station about 9:45 p.m., when a person walked up to him — and for no apparent reason — slashed him in the face, police said.
The man was cut in the nose and taken by emergency services to St. Luke's Hospital in stable condition, police said.

NYPD did not specify what happened after the slashing, and how long the attacker and victim stayed on the train.
Police did release a photo, though, Thursday of the person wanted in connection to the random attack.
