Man Slashed At Natural History Museum Subway Station, Police Say

The victim suffered a laceration to his face after being slashed during an argument at the American Museum of Natural History subway stop.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — The NYPD is trying to identify a man wanted in connection with a slashing at an Upper West Side subway station, police said.

A 37-year-old man was slashed in the face with an unknown sharp object during an argument at the 81st Street/Museum of Natural History subway station on the night of Friday, June 14, police said. EMS took the man to Lenox Hill Hospital where he was treated for a laceration to the face in stable condition.

The suspect fled the scene of the slashing by exiting the station and heading north on Central Park West, police said. Police described the man as being between 18 and 28 years old and released a photo of the man taken on a security camera (seen above). Police say the man was last seen wearing a black shirt with the words "just buckets" on the front, black sweatpants and black and white sandals.
