Man Slashed At UWS Subway Station Tuesday Morning, Police Say
The 46-year-old was slashed all over the left side of his body and sustained injuries to his elbow, shoulder, neck and head, police said.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A perpetrator repeatedly slashed a 46-year-old man while on a downtown 2 train early on Tuesday morning, New York City Police Department officials said.
According to the NYPD, on Tuesday at 4:25 a.m., the man was assaulted in an unprovoked attack by a stranger with a knife as the train was pulling into the West 96th Street and Broadway stop.
The 46-year-old was slashed all over the left side of his body and sustained injuries to his elbow, shoulder, neck and head, police said.

Medics rushed the victim to Mount Sinai Morningside in stable condition, and the attacker was arrested at the scene, police said. A knife was also recovered at the scene, police said.
The charges against the attacker are pending, and the incident is under investigation by the police, authorities said.
