A man in pajamas jumped 750 feet from the roof of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, according to police and a report.

NEW YORK CITY — A man in pajamas leapt to his death from the roof of a glamorous Columbus Circle hotel Thursday night, according to police and reports.
The man died after leaping 750 feet from atop the 55-story Mandarin Oriental Hotel near West 60th Street about 9 p.m., police said.
It appears the man was not a hotel guest and took a service elevator to access the roof, the New York Post reported.

Cops say he was seen in the lobby.
The man was split in half by the five-star hotel's glass awning and an arm was found across the street near bloodied construction scaffolding, the report states.
