Man Stabbed To Death Outside UWS Pizza Restaurant, Police Say

Two teenagers were arrested and charged with murder, police said.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY – A man was stabbed to death in front of an Upper West Side pizza restaurant Thursday afternoon, police said. Two teenagers were arrested close to the scene and charged with murder.

Tony McClain, 20, was found in front of 2640 Broadway, near West 100th St., at 1.26 p.m. Police say he had been stabbed in the chin and chest. The address is listed as the location of Cheesy Pizza.

McClain was taken to St. Luke's Hospital where he was pronounced dead, the NYPD said.

Police said a knife was found near the scene. The two teenagers — 18-year-old Jashawn Gorham and 17-year-old Brighton Montgomery — were apprehended in a vehicle at West 96th St. and Amsterdam Ave., according to police.

The teens from the Upper West Side face charges of murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon, police said.
