Teen Stabbed In Upper West Side Subway Station, Police Say
A 16-year-old was injured early Monday morning after being stabbed at the 96th Street and Central Park West subway station.
UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — Police are investigating a Monday morning stabbing that left a man injured on the Upper West Side, an NYPD spokesman said.
A 16-year-old was standing on the subway platform at the West 96th Street and Central Park West station at 1:40 a.m. when he was approached by a group of eight men and stabbed during an altercation, police said. EMS rushed the man to St. Luke's Hospital, police said.
The group of men fled the subway station after the stabbing and no arrests have been made, an NYPD spokesman said. Police could not confirm a possible motive for the attack.

The victim was not identified by police.
Trains bypassed the 96th Street station early Monday morning as police conducted an investigation of the attack. The station reopened at about 5:20 a.m., MTA officials said.
