Man Stabbed On West End Avenue, Police Say

Medics rushed the victim to Mount Sinai Morningside.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A 34-year-old man was stabbed on Wednesday night on West End Avenue during an attempted robbery, New York City Police Department officials said.

According to the NYPD, the man was in front of 37 West End Avenue, which is between West 61st Street and West 62nd Street, at 10:22 when a perpetrator attempted to rob the victim.

Police did not confirm what the perpetrator was trying to take from the man, but according to Pix11, it was a bike.

The robbery was unsuccessful, but the perpetrator stabbed the victim in the back, police said.

When police arrived, medics rushed the victim to Mount Sinai Morningside hospital in stable condition, cops said.

Police said there are no arrests yet, and the investigation is ongoing.
