Victim Critically Injured By Cyclists On The Upper West Side: NYPD

Police are looking for two suspects who struck a man in the head several times with a bicycle on Central Park West.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — Police were looking Friday for two perpetrators who attacked a 45-year-old man on the Upper West Side back on Oct. 16, New York City Police Department officials said.

According to the NYPD, on Oct. 16 at 5:55 p.m., the victim was walking on Central Park West at the corner of West 82nd Street when two men on bicycles approached him and struck him multiple times in the head with a bicycle. Then the cyclists fled by bike, heading downtown on Central Park West, police said.

The victim sustained cuts on his head and face from the attack and was rushed to Mount Sinai Morningside hospital in critical condition, where he recovered, police said.
