National Night Out With NYPD Set For Upper West Side
The two Upper West Side precincts and the Central Park force will all be hosting events on Tuesday for the annual event. Here's where.
UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — National Night Out, an annual nationwide event that brings together police and the communities they serve, is taking place on Tuesday — including on the Upper West Side.
The day has been celebrated on the first Tuesday of August for decades with block parties, cookouts, and other types of neighborhood events.

Verdi Square (72nd Street): 5 to 8 p.m.
The 20th Precinct, which covers West 59th to 86th streets, will host its event within Verdi Square outside the West 72nd Street 1, 2, and 3 station.

Happy Warrior Playground (98th Street): 6 to 9 p.m.
The 24th Precinct, which covers West 87th to 110th streets, will host its event within the Happy Warrior Playground at West 98th Street and Amsterdam.
Columbus Circle Entrance to Central Park: 4 to 8 p.m.
The Central Park Precinct — which covers, as you might guess — Central Park, will host its event at the Columbus Circle entrance to Central Park by the Merchant's Gate and the Maine Monument.
