Nearly 80 Firefighters Battle Upper West Side Blaze: FDNY

A fire ignited late Wednesday night at 98 Riverside Dr., which in on the corner of 82nd Street, FDNY said.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A fire broke out late Wednesday night in a residential building on the Upper West Side, an FDNY spokesperson told Patch.

The blaze ignited around 11:40 p.m. at 98 Riverside Dr., which is on the corner of 82nd Street, FDNY said.

A total of 78 firefighters responded to the all-hands blaze, and it took until 2:29 a.m. to get it fully under control, FDNY said.

There were no injuries, FDNY said.

The Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the flames.
