UPPER WEST SIDE, NY - Two men are wanted after an Upper West Side shooting saw a man take a bullet in the backside, authorities announced Sunday.

The gunmen squeezed off several shots, striking the 41-year-old victim in the buttocks and shoulder, near Amsterdam Avenue and West 89th Street on Sept. 19 about about 1:30 a.m., Patch previously reported.

The men then ran west on West 89th Street, police said. Medics rushed the wounded man to Mount Sinai Morningside in stable condition.

The first suspect (depicted in the photo above) is described as a male about 6 feet 2 inches tall with a slim build and blond short braids. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, light colored hooded sweatshirt, black pants and black sneakers, police said.

The second suspect stands about 6 feet tall with a medium build, police said. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, green hooded sweatshirt, dark colored pants and white sneakers.

As of Monday, New York City has 726 reported shooting incidents so far in 2023, according to city data. That's down about 26.1 percent from the same time the previous year.

In the 24th Precinct, police have seen four shooting incidents so far in 2023, up from three reported last year.
