New York City Marathon Returns To Full Capacity For 2022

The New York Road Runners announced recently that the marathon is returning in 2022 with its usual 50K runners, up from 25K last year.

CENTRAL PARK, NY — The New York City Marathon is returning in 2022 with its full capacity of 50,000 runners, up from the 25,000 participants that ran the famous race last year due to COVID-19 restrictions.

To put the 50,000 number in perspective, that's significantly more people than the total population of countries such as Liechtenstein, Monaco, and San Marino.

It is the world's largest marathon.
