NYC's First Kosher Ramen Bar Opens On Upper West Side
Boru Boru is located on the corner of Amsterdam Avenue and West 98th Street.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — New York City's first ramen restaurant to feature a completely kosher menu has opened on the Upper West Side.
Boru Boru opened in February in a space on the corner of Amsterdam Avenue and West 98th Street, according to the restaurant's website. The eatery is located in the same space that once held Joon's Fish Market, which closed in late 2017.
The restaurant's menu is inspired by the diverse streets of the 1920s Lower East Side, according to its website. Boru Boru pays homage to the cultures that made the neighborhood home by incorporating Jewish, Japanese, Korean and Eastern European tastes in its offerings.
