NYPD Truck Catches Fire In Columbus Circle, FDNY Says
No injuries were reported during the Thursday morning fire.

COLUMBUS CIRCLE, NY — An NYPD truck burst into flames Thursday morning in Columbus Cirlce, an FDNY spokesman said.
The fire broke out shortly after 9 a.m., an FDNY spokesman said. Firefighters responded to Columbus Circle and extinguished the fire, the spokesman said. The truck's cab was completely engulfed in flames and dark plumes of smoke billowed out into the circle, according to one witnesses photo.
The fire was extinguished and no injuries were reported, the NYPD announced. The cause of the fire was a mechanical issue and no criminality is suspected, according to the NYPD.

Motorists should expect "extensive traffic delays and emergency personnel in the area" in Columbus Circle on Thursday morning, New York City Emergency Management announced.
