A 27-year-old woman was fatally struck by a wrong-way driver in Manhattan on Thursday, police said. The incident happened near Morton Street and Seventh Avenue around 8:30 a.m. The woman was crossing the street when she was struck by a 2020 GMC van, police said.

Man Wanted After Sex Abuse On East Harlem Bus, Police Say
Authorities were looking Friday for a man who they say pressed himself against a woman on an MTA bus in East Harlem last week, New York City Police Department officials said.
The 45-year-old woman told police she was riding the M35 bus around 3:45 p.m. on Oct. 27, near Second Avenue and East 124th Street, when a man came up behind her and pressed his groin against her over her clothing.

GOP Lawmaker's 'MAMDANI' Act Looks To Block Federal Funds To NYC
A Republican lawmaker is proposing legislation that would block federal funds from New York City in response to Zohran Mamdani being elected as mayor on Tuesday.
Rep. Buddy Carter of Georgia's new legislation is called the "MAMDANI Act" or the "Moving American Money Distant from Anti-National Interests Act," according to a post on X.

Rockefeller Center's Massive Christmas Tree Arrives This Weekend
This Saturday, the Rockefeller Center's massive, 75-foot-tall Christmas tree from upstate New York will put down roots in Midtown, marking the start of the holiday season.
This year's tree — a 75-year-old Norway Spruce from East Greenbush — won't be officially lit until early December, but visitors and locals alike will be able to watch it arrive to 30 Rockefeller Plaza Saturday and celebrate its landing with a "Meet the Tree" event.
