Police Release Photo Of Suspected UWS Attempted Rapist
The man is accused of pinning a woman against a subway wall and attempting to rape her.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — The NYPD released the photo of a man who attacked a woman in an Upper West Side subway station during an attempted rape.
Police are trying to identify the man, who is described as standing about 5-foot-10 with a medium build and short black hair. The man is accused of pinning a woman against the wall of a stairwell at the West 86th Street and Broadway subway station and groping her early Sunday morning, police said.
The 32-year-old woman was able to fight the man off, forcing him to flee the scene before he could continue the attack, police said. Medics took the victim to a local hospital for treatment after the attack, police said.
