Popular Neapolitan Pizzeria Opening Soon On The Upper West Side
Song'E Napule's Naples-born chef and owner has won multiple awards for his pizza-making abilities.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — Upper West Siders are about to have another top pizza option in the neighborhood.
Song'E Napule is expected to open this fall at 464 Amsterdam Ave., near West 82nd Street, in the former home of Mokum, according to the eatery's website.
This will be the third Song'E Napule to open in the tristate area — the pizzeria has two successful locations already in the West Village and Rutherford, New Jersey.

Song'E Napule is headed by Circo Iovine, who first started working in a pizzeria in Napoli when he 13 years old, and has won multiple awards in recent years for his pie making abilities.
"Today more than ever, it's fundamental that the restaurant business propose food characterized by top quality ingredients and love for tradition, but also authentic experiences that allow the customer to feel the cultural imprinting of where the dishes comes from," Iovine said in a press release when the Rutherford location opened in 2021.

The new Upper West Side location will have a dine-in option, and also a cocktail list.
The menu includes smoked buffalo mozzarella, eggplant parmigiana, buratta, meatballs, salads, pastas, chicken breast, tomato-based pizzas, cheese-based pizza, and special pizzas.
The pizzeria on West 82nd Street was first expected to open in the fall of 2021, but got pushed back by a year.
Gabero Rosso, an Italian food and wine magazine, named Song'E Napule's West Village locations as one of the five best pizza places in New York City in 2019.
