Here's what Eater NY had to say about the UWS joint.
"Upper West Side restaurant Old John’s Luncheonette was brought back to life as Old John’s Diner, a revamped take on the 7-decade-old neighborhood staple. Find breakfast diner classics like ham and cheese omelets, egg creams, and chocolate chip waffles available every day from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m."

Old John's Luncheonette first opened at 66th and Broadway in 1951. It then moved to 67th Street in 1998, when Barnes and Noble bought its original location.
The diner then served customers for another two decades, before it was forced to shut down in 2020 due to the pandemic.
The thought to be permanently shuttered diner was then reopened and renovated in 2021 by former employee Louis Skibar.
The renovation kept elements such as the Art Deco lighting and mosaic tile floor, but also made the space brighter, switched up the bar area, and revamped the menu.
The majority of the staff has worked at the diner for 10 to 20 years.
