Shots Fired Near Douglass Houses On UWS: Police
An investigation is ongoing after shots were fired on the Upper West Side shortly after midnight on Wednesday, police said.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY – Approximately 7 gunshots were fired near 835 Columbus Avenue at about 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday, police said.
Nobody was shot and nobody was injured, a police spokesperson told Patch, and there are no descriptions of any assailants at this time.
An investigation is ongoing.

The address is in the middle of the New York City Housing Authority’s Frederick Douglass Houses, a large complex of apartment buildings between Manhattan and Amsterdam avenues that spans four city blocks.
