'Sopranos' Star Debuts Dahlia, A New Cocktail Bar On UWS

Actor Michael Imperioli, known for his roles in "The Sopranos" and "White Lotus," has announced the opening of a sister bar to Scarlet.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — Less than six months since the debut of the upscale bar Scarlet, Michael Imperioli, known for his roles in “The Sopranos” and “The White Lotus,” has announced a new project.

Opening as a sibling to the bar Scarlet on the Upper West Side, Dahlia, at 269 Columbus Avenue between 72nd and 73rd, opened its doors to the public on Wednesday night.

The venture, conceived by Jeremy Wladis of next-door Harvest Kitchen along with actor-designer Victoria Imperioli, Michael's wife, marks Victoria's second bar design within the past year following Scarlet, which officially opened to the public in early December.

The couple also previously owned the Chelsea bar Ciel Rouge, which offered a similar red-themed interior design, per The New York Times.

In his Wednesday social media post, Imperioli noted that Dahlia will be open from 5 p.m. every night for a mix of cocktails and snacks.

The interior of Dahlia, as reported first by Eater, showcases tile flooring, copper-rimmed stools at a marble bar, velvet mid-century chairs, and other period accents. Reminiscent of Scarlet, red velvet curtains frame doorways, and the room is painted in a rust-red hue.

Wladis serves as the president of The Restaurant Group (TRG), a hospitality company established in 1985. TRG's portfolio in New York City includes ownership and operation of Harvest Kitchen, as well as other renowned establishments such as Nina's Great Burrito Bar, Big Gay Ice Cream Good Enough to Eat and Fred's.
