This Popular NYC Bookstore Opens Up An Upper West Side Outpost: Report
The new bookstore will open in early July.
UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — The Upper West Side is about to enter a new chapter.
Strand Bookstore officials said the bookstore will be taking over Shakespeare & Co.'s bookstore and cafe space on Broadway between West 69th and 70th streets this July, according to a report from the local news site West Side Rag.
This will be the second Strand location on the Upper West Side, with another location on Columbus Avenue between West 81st and West 82nd streets.

The Strand will be starting its lease on June 1 and opening in early July, and will employ all Shakespeare & Co. staff on site, according to the West Side Rag.
