Subway Attack Update: Police Seek Man In Connection With UWS Slashing

NEW YORK — Police are trying to find and identify a man in connection with an assault in which a 26-year-old was punched and slashed in the face Friday at the 72nd Street 1/2/3 subway station.

The incident occurred around 3:15 p.m. on the northbound platform after a verbal dispute between the two men, police said, adding the attacker used a sharp instrument and the victim was taken to Mount Sinai Morningside in stable condition with a facial laceration. The assailant fled, according to police.
